My partner and I adopted our sweet puppy in August 2023 and he was the absolute sweetest but such different energy than our 6 year old pup. We both work full time and did not know where to start with our boy – he was a food swiper, ate/chewed everything in sight, tugged on leash and extremely difficult to walk, and did not have good handler communication.
We got paired with Aolanis and I feel SO lucky. She is an animal lover and took so much thought and care with our boy as if he was her own. She kept us updated with emails and thorough videos and made the process so much more comfortable (note- I cried saying bye to him and she was the sweetest/most understanding about this).
When he came home, she took the time to spend 2+ hours with us, go through everything he learned, and take videos for us to watch later (including of us doing the drills and commands). I am so impressed and so grateful. We were worried about doing a board and train because we thought our boy Hilo might not be responsive to us when he came home, or would think we weren’t going to enforce the rules. He was able to smoothly ease back home thanks to Aolanis and the time she took with us. I am so grateful to her and I recommend her to anyone who just needs some help getting their dog to a foundation that they can work with! ❤️
